Rachel Jones, Senior Research Associate

Rachel Jones has worked at the Institute since July 1999. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from Tulane University, where she studied gender, family and inequality and published articles in Social Forces, Sociological Inquiry and Sociological Perspectives. Her work at AGI has focused on adolescent sexual health, male sexual and reproductive health, and abortion. She has published several articles in Perspectives in Sexual and Reproductive Health and was part of the research team for In Their Own Right: Addressing the Sexual and Reproductive Health Needs of American Men. Most recently, she worked on a national survey of minor adolescents using family planning clinic services to assess levels of parental involvement, the findings of which are summarized in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
